Workshop: Women in Macroeconomics, Law and Economics, and Economic History

ECONtribute and the University of Bonn ivite to the 1st ECONtribute WIMLEEH WORKSHOP.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together female academic researchers to promote and exchange ideasin the fields of Macroeconomics, Law and Economics, and Economic History. The conference will facilitate and support the formation of professional networks among female economists.

Each conference day will include a keynote lecture as well as sessions with contributed papers and discussions. One keynote lecture will be delivered by Christine Binzel (FAU Erlangen/Nürnberg).
Invited speakers will also share some of their experiences and insights of pursuing a career in their field.

We invite empirical as well as experimental contributions from a broad range of topics within Macroeconomics, Law and Economics, Economic History, and related fields, including, but not limited to:

• Social and wealth inequality
• Legal frameworks and behavioral finance
• Current and historical development of institutions and cultural norms
• Distributional effects of (macroeconomic) policies and legal rules
• Macroeconomic implications of climate change

Paper submission:
Female researchers interested in presenting should send a full paper or extended abstract in PDF format as well as information on the paper title, name(s) of author(s), and contact details to wimleeh@gmail.com.

Early career scholars are especially encouraged to apply.

Important dates and information:
April 02, 2023: Deadline for submissions
April 16, 2023: Presenters will be notified of acceptance
June 19-20, 2023: Conference in Bonn, Germany

There is no registration or participation fee. We offer hotel accommodation and meals for all presenters.Travel expenses are not covered.
