Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer just changing how we live and work: it is becoming an active partner in the process itself. As AI systems grow more capable and take on increasingly agentic roles, understanding how humans and AI can collaborate effectively matters more than ever. The University of Cologne remains committed to advancing cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research in this field, a commitment we fully share.<\/p>\n

Over the past three editions of „Co-Creating Tomorrow: A Workshop on Human-AI Collaboration – Supported by ECONtribute,“ we have started building a vibrant community of young and senior scholars interested in understanding and shaping human-AI collaboration. The workshops have sparked new research ideas, interdisciplinary collaborations, engaging discussions, and lasting professional connections. This year’s workshop will build on the interactive and interdisciplinary format that participants have valued in previous editions, while continuing to create space for fresh perspectives, emerging research, and collaborative idea development. Our aim is to bring together young researchers, including advanced Master’s students and PhD candidates, as well as faculty from economics, information systems, psychology, management, and related fields. Together, participants will exchange ideas and co-develop innovative research projects addressing the opportunities and challenges of human-AI collaboration.<\/p>\n

We are excited to host the fourth edition of the workshop on September 17-18, 2026, at the University of Cologne. The program will include coffee breaks and lunch on both days, as well as dinner on the first day. Please register here<\/a> for the workshop by Friday, August 14, 2026 at the latest.<\/p>\n
