ECONtribute Research Workshop: Rhineland Workshop 2021

ECONtribute, the Institute for Macroeconomics and Econometrics at the University of Bonn, and the Center for Macroeconomic Research at the University of Cologne invite Ph.D. students at the University of Bonn or the University of Cologne to the 2021 edition of the Rhineland Workshop.

The workshop is organized in cooperation between the Research Training Group 2281 at the Institute for Macroeconomics and Econometrics at the University of Bonn, the Center for Macroeconomic Research at the University of Cologne, and the ECONtribute Cluster of Excellence in Economics.

The workshop brings together faculty and doctoral students from Bonn and Cologne working on macroeconomics and related fields, giving doctoral students a forum to present their research and receive feedback in a friendly atmosphere.

Date & Venue:

The workshop will take place in-person at the University of Bonn on October 8th 2021. We hope that the workshop can take place physically. Should the COVID-19 situation and travel restrictions not allow for an in-person workshop, it will be a virtual workshop.

Format:

We plan to have approximately 7 presentations, each followed by a discussion.

Local organizers:

Pavel Brendler (University of Bonn, pavel.brendler@uni-bonn.de)
Francesco Giovanardi (University of Cologne, giovanardi@wiso.uni-koeln.de)

Submissions in any field of macroeconomics are invited. We welcome submissions from all advanced Ph.D. students. Interested authors are invited to send the paper’s draft in PDF format to the organizer from their faculty. Please also indicate whether you would be willing to attend the workshop as a discussant.

Please feel free to contact the organizers, if you have any questions.
