The GfeW is the world’s longest established association of experimental economists. The aim of the GfeW is to further establish and promote experimental research as an important methodology in economics. The GfeW therefore endeavors to continuously improve the conditions for successful experimental research.
In particular, the GfeW also wants to offer scientists in early career phases a forum to gain experience, network and exchange ideas with colleagues in later career phases.
Although the GfeW has its origins in German-speaking countries, its research is increasingly internationally orientated. The GfeW is networked with the Economic Science Association (ESA), maintains contacts with other international organizations and encourages participation in international conferences. At the annual conference in 2024, we will offer sessions in English in addition to the usual conference language of German and integrate these extensively into the program.
