Andreas Kleiner new Professor for Microeconomic Theory

Andreas Kleiner joins the University of Bonn and ECONtribute as Professor of Microeconomic Theory on 1 August 2023.

Kleiner, who knows Bonn from his time as a PhD student, is currently an Associate Professor at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics at the University of St. Gallen.

Andreas Kleiner is appointed Professor by Miriam Dierker, Head of the Human Resources Department.

His research focuses on mechanism design, elections, game theory and political economy. His research is funded by the US National Science Foundation. “We are very pleased that Andreas Kleiner is joining us and welcome him to his old workplace here in Bonn. With his research and international experience, he will strengthen the profile of our cluster,” said Prof. Thomas Dohmen, Bonn‘s spokesman for ECONtribute.
