International capital market law, international corporate law, and competition law

Daniel Zimmer is the Director of the Institute of Commercial and Economic Law of the Center for Advanced Studies in Law and Economics (CASTLE) at the University of Bonn. He is also a Research Fellow of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). He was Chairman of the German Monopolies Commission from 2012 to 2016 before becoming Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics in Bonn until 2018. He studied Legal Studies in Mainz, Lausanne, and Göttingen, where he received his PhD in 1991.
