Michael Krause is a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. His other positions include Director of the Institut für Wirtschaftspolitik. He completed his diploma in Economics at the University of Bonn and received his PhD in Economics from Yale University in 1999. Before taking over the professorship in Cologne in 2013, Michael was a Senior Research Economist at the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt.
