CV

Erik Hornung is a Professor of Economic History at the University of Cologne, a CESifo Research Fellow, a CEPR Research Affiliate and a CAGE – Warwick Research Fellow. Before Erik joined the University of Cologne, he was a Professor of Economics at the chair for Quantitiative Economic History at the University of Bayreuth and Senior Research Fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the LMU Munich while being a Junior Researcher at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research. In 2008, Erik Hornung received his Diploma in Economics and technics from the University of Stuttgart.
