Joint Cluster of Excellence Initiative Reaches Full Proposal Stage

The Cluster of Excellence initiative “ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy”, a joint project by the universities of Bonn and Cologne, is invited to submit a full proposal in the framework of Germany’s Excellence Strategy. This was announced by the German Research Foundation (DFG) after a committee of international experts had selected 88 from 195 initially submitted draft proposals for the final round of competition. The full proposals have to be submitted to the DFG by February 21^st, 2018.

The goal of ECONtribute is to establish a new paradigm for the analysis of market failures and public policy, taking into account recent advancements in economic theory and behavioral economics. If the Cluster proposal is successful, all research activities will be organized under the roof of the RSI.
