ECONtribute launches a new episode of Season 2 “ECONtribute – Der Wirtschaftspodcast”, now for the first time available in the ECONtribute Web Player and on all major podcast platforms (in German).

Listen to the third episode of the #education season of “ECONtribute – Der Wirtschaftspodcast” with Clemens Kroneberg, Professor at ECONtribute and the University of Cologne. Does integration work in German schools? Should the multi-tier system be abolished in favor of more educational equity? And how do social networks develop in schools? The economist researches social networks of young people and integration in schools as part of his SOCIALBOND project. This podcast he talks about the role ethnicity plays in the formation of friendships, the point at which adolescents identify as German, and whether nationwide all-inclusive schools will increase the integration of our education system. This episode is about social networks, integration and identity.

In monthly episodes of approximately 30 minutes, Carolin Jackermeier, PR Manager at ECONtribute, discusses the most exciting topics in ECONtribute research and provides insights into the work of the Cluster of Excellence. How can we achieve equal opportunities and effective integration in German schools? How will the Corona pandemic affect education in the long term? And what do students actually expect from their degree? Season 2 of the ECONtribute podcast provides the answers.
