Martin Hoppe is a PhD student at the University of Cologne, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science and his Master’s degree in Economic Research. He spent a term abroad at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and completed internships at the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Deutsches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung. He worked at Siemens DISW and the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods before joining Cologne’s Economic History group during his Master’s.
