Ashutosh Thakur is an Assistant Professor of economics in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. He completed his Ph.D. from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2021 and was a postdoctoral fellow at ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics at Princeton University with highest honors. His research uses tools from market design, matching theory, and game theory to study institutional design in development, political economy, labor, and finance.
