ECONtribute Cluster member Prof Dr Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider takes office as Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider is a digital expert and has held the Chair of Civil Law, Data Economy Law, Data Protection, Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn since 2018. She has been a member of the ECONtribute Cluster since 2019: Markets & Public Policy.
In May 2024, the German Bundestag elected Prof Specht-Riemenschneider as Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. The election was at the suggestion of the Federal Government. Now she officially takes up the new office.
