Iris Stornik is a third-year PhD student at the Bonn Graduate School of Economics, specializing in applied microeconomics and human capital development. Her academic background includes Bachelor’s degrees in Economics (WU Vienna) and Psychology (University of Vienna). Her research focuses on the intersection of parenting and adolescent development with a strong interest in mental health and achievement. Her aim is to contribute to a better understanding of the beliefs that shape parenting decisions using survey and vignette-based experimental methods to elicit parental expectations. Her current projects put a focus on digital media and smartphone usage. She is passionate about interdisciplinary approaches that bridge economics, psychology, and public policy to inform effective interventions and support youth development.
