Florian Zimmermann is a Professor at the University of Bonn and the Institute on Behavior and Inequality (briq). He is a Research Fellow at CESifo and Research Affiliate at the IZA. He graduated with a PhD in Economics from the University of Bonn in 2013 after studying Economics in Mannheim and Los Angeles. Before joining briq and the University of Bonn in 2017, he was a postdoc at the University of Zurich. In 2020 he was awarded an ERC Starting Grant for his work on memory and belief formation.
