Sebastian Siegloch is a Professor of Economics at the University of Cologne and a member with the Cluster of Excellence in the Research Area Political Economy. Sieglochs research interest lie with public, labor and urban economics. He is currently working on a large scale research project titled “Housing, Inequality and Public policies (HIPPO)”, wich ist funded with an ERC starting grant. His work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of Public Economics among others. Siegloch obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Cologne in 2013. From 2014 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim. From 2018 until 2022 Siegloch was a Professor at the University of Mannheim and head of the Research Area “Inequality and Public Policy” at the ZEW-Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim.
