ECONtribute Special Seminar & YEP Mentoring Lunch with Christian Wolf (MIT Department of Economics)

On Friday, December 17, 2021, Prof. Christian Wolf, Ph.D., will hold a seminar on “What Can Time-Series Regressions Tell Us About Policy Counterfactuals?” – paper attached. He is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the MIT Department of Economics. His research focus lies on macroeconomics, monetary economics, and time series econometrics.

Time: 13:30 – 14:30

Format: Hybrid.

Venue: Conference Room, Room 0.018, Niebuhrstraße 5, 53113 Bonn.

Room Capacity: Currently 11 people can attend the seminar in-person. Nine further people can attend the seminar online via zoom from our lounge (room 0.016). Everyone else can also participate from home via zoom. The zoom link will be send around after the registration. Should the corona regulations change, this number will be reduced accordingly.

Current Corona Rules: The requirement for participation is the 3G Status (Geimpft, Genesen, Getestet or Vaccinated, Recovered, Tested). Participants must prove this upon entry to the conference room with an immunity certificate, current day test (no more than 24 hours old) or identification document. Should the corona regulations change, these rules will be changed accordingly.

On Friday, December 17, 2021, before the seminar Christian Wolf will also offer a mentoring lunch for Ph.D. students, where he will report on the job market, etc. The idea is to spark exchange. Since there are 10 seats available, please send me a short email by November 30 if you are interested. We will meet at 12pm in front of the restaurant. Further information will follow after the registration.

Target Group: The Mentoring Lunch is open for PhD students of the BGSE and CGS as well as for postdocs of the Universities of Bonn and Cologne.
