Informationsökonomie, angewandte Entscheidungstheorie

Seit September 2020 ist Sarah Auster Professorin für Mikroökonomik an der Universität Bonn. Zuvor war sie als Assistant Professor am Department of Economics der Universität Mannheim sowie am Department of Decision Sciences der Bocconi University tätig. 2014 promovierte sie am European University Institute in Florenz. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der mikroökonomischen Theorie, insbesondere in der Informationsökonomik, im Vertrags- und Mechanismendesign sowie in Anwendungen der Entscheidungstheorie. Sie interessiert sich insbesondere dafür, wie Akteure ökonomische Entscheidungen treffen, wenn sie die stochastische Umwelt, in der sie handeln, nur unvollkommen verstehen.
